Tom has performed a variety of electrical work on our old Minneapolis house over the last eight years. When we first moved in he came over for an "emergency" call to re-wire some outlets that were causing problems. Because Tom was so friendly, knowledgeable, and was able to solve the issue immediately, we have always called on him for further work. He has done everything from adding a ceiling fan to a room without an existing light fixture to bringing outlets to code. Most recently, Tom created and implemented an electrical plan for a bathroom addition on our second floor. He was able to creatively find a way to bring electricity to an area of the house that previously was not wired without causing a mess or damaging existing walls. We are so happy with the new bathroom, especially because Tom installed a heated floor!

I first had Tom retrofit some pendants lights in our Lakeville home. My wife and I were so impressed with his prompt, professional and timely work that I hired him for a commercial job. I own a professional office building and Tom installed some energy efficient T-8 lights. When installing a new ceiling in the building I ran into a problem that involved the lights and called Tom on a Sunday night…and he was there 7:30 am Monday morning for the rescue. I have thrown away all other business cards for electricians I have used in the past. Lakeville Electric-Tom Maurer is the only electrician I will use.

We were so impressed with Tom four years ago when he helped us with our master bathroom addition that we've asked for his help again when we remodel our kitchen. When we started the bathroom we weren't really sure what we wanted or needed, so Tom sat down with us and came up with a plan. Lakeville Electric INC is top on my list of recommendations. Tom Maurer has worked on homes in our cul-de-sac and would no doubt be vouched by all. A few months ago I accidentally broke the main switch to our electric power source on a Friday. I had met Tom before, while he was working on my neighbors remodel, so I called and left a message of my plight. (fortunately, we borrowed a generator for the refrigerator, but were without electricity till the next day.) He called me back, later that night, scheduled to come to my house at 7am the next day even though he had another appointment later that morning. He arrived at 6:45 with everything purchased and completed the job within less than a couple hours. Adding to that he charged me just the same as he would had it not been an emergency. He followed up to make sure the job was inspected the next business day and of course it passed. He is trustworthy, professional, easy to work with, licensed and certainly knows what he is doing.
